Security - Digital Imaging

All the security systems available on the market are dependant upon user co-operation to ensure maximum effectiveness.
The installation of an turnstile gate from the forecourt of the Royal Irish Yacht Club is now in operation, with a marina identification being required to access the marina from the RIYC and RIYC card needed to access the yacht club from the marina.

We have always placed, and continue to place high priority on the provision of security systems and procedure in order to protect your property while at the same time trying to ensure that your enjoyment and the enjoyment of your friends is not degraded.

We have upgraded our system from proximity cards to digital finger imaging and enhanced our photographic coverage using high resolution cameras. The system was introduced initially for the marina staff and gradually be built up, the old card system will be removed shortly to finalise the complete changeover.

The fingerprint data collected will only be sufficient for your identification and access to the Marina. The detail recorded will not be acceptable for use by any legal authorities - Immigration, police etc. The data is stored using alpha and numeric coding which protects the system from abuse by hackers.
